Position: Managing Director & Principal Accountant
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (SA), Registered Auditor
Barbara Nubong is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor, registered with SAICA and IRBA respectively. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, USA, and later a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Barbara qualified as a CA(SA) in 2014 and became a Registered Auditor in 2016, founding BG Nubong and Associates Inc., a black-owned audit firm performing audits across both public and private sectors in South Africa.
As Managing Director, Barbara has directed and gained extensive experience with clients across Property and Construction, Municipal accounts, Labour-related services, NGOs, Government departments, Telecommunications, Public schools, and the Hospitality industry.
She possesses mastery in auditing and accounting principles including International Auditing Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Recognized Accounting Practice (GRAP), US GAAP, PFMA, and National Treasury Regulations.
Barbara has also independently consulted for Morar Incorporated performing Internal Auditing reviews for organizations including:
- Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) – Financial Management Review
- Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) – Stakeholder Management Review
- Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC) – Stakeholder Management Review
